A €37 Million Regional Sports Hub
The new Louth GAA Stadium in Dundalk, Ireland, officially named Edward Goodman Park, is a state-of-the-art €37 million regional sports hub located on the Inner Relief Road. Louth County Board announced the Goodman Foundation as the naming rights holder for the venue, which is due to open in 2027.
Edward Goodman was a member of the Dundalk Young Irelands team that represented Louth in the first All-Ireland Football Final of 1887.
Stadium Development Phases
Phase One
- Currently under construction and due to open in 2027.
- Will accommodate 5,000 spectators.
Phase Two
- Due to commence shortly.
- Will increase total capacity to 14,000 spectators.
- Includes construction of a dedicated sensory room in partnership with the Goodman Foundation.
Facility Specifications
Seated Stand
- 4,080-seated stand capacity.
- Contains two kiosks, four dressing rooms, and a physio room, each equipped with toilets and showers.
Standing Terrace & Areas
- Opposite standing terrace holds 8,470 spectators with male/female toilets, team room, two kiosks, three Press Boxes, and a storeroom.
- Two standing areas behind the goals, each with a capacity of 725 people.
- Includes two match officials’ rooms, a medical room with a toilet, an office, and disabled toilets.
